On Saturday afternoon EDACs Catherine O’Conner headed to County Louth to the quiet village of Dromiskin for the annual 5k. The race is organized by St Peter’s AC and being a community race the club is aided by St Josephs GFC so the whole village is involved. With warm conditions and a flat fast course and Catherine being in great form of late the omens were looking good. 455 athletes were on the start line and from the gun Catherine went to the front, where she stayed and came in an amazing PB time of 16 min 37 sec, 1st Lady and 8th overall, in a very strong field. The first man across the line was Daniel Stone of Dublin Track Club in 14 min 38 sec, great running and some great times.
