Unfortunately due to the Covid – 19 pandemic, the Rollercoaster Races will not take place as planned. Updates will be given when available. Stay safe!
**This is not a Cross Country event as all the races take place on the perimeter road so there will be no wet or muddy feet to contend with and while there are neither hurdles nor fences to negotiate they are not flat races either!
This event is a unique opportunity to run in a superb venue with grandstand viewing. The closed roads and tarmac track provide a safe competitive arena. Last year nearly 200 children took part across the age groups and we expect even more this year.
Schools are encouraged to send in lists of pupils in advance but entry is also available on the day. Please note start time of 11am sharp – 10.30 am will be the close of registration for Races 1-5 after that please register an hour before your event.

11.50am P5 COLTS – 2 FURLONGS (500 metres)
12.00 noon – P6/7 FILLIES RACE – 4 FURLONGS (1K)- EAST DOWN SHIELD for 1st SCHOOL TEAM – Best 4 to count.
12 .15 pm – P6/7 COLTS RACE – 4 FURLONGS (1K) – JOHN McKEAG SHIELD for 1st SCHOOL TEAM – Best 4 to count.
Medals for all finishers in all above races
12.30pm – COLTS AND FILLIES STAKES (Aged 13 and under on day of race) 7 FURLONGS (1.5K)
Medals for 1st 3 Boys and Girls
12.50pm – COLTS AND FILLIES STAKES (Aged 15 and under on day of race) 10 FURLONGS (2.5K)
