NUMBER COLLECTION – At EDAC Club Rooms

Friday 8th March: 3pm – 8.00pm

Saturday 9th March: 10.30am – 3.30pm

RACE DAY COLLECTION 8.30-9.30am. Please only use this option if there is no alternative. Please allow time to park and walk – no access by car on Race Day

** Club pick ups welcome and can be packed with advance notice.

RACE DAY

The Pavilion behind DLC is open for changing and toilets. There are also toilets at the EDAC Club Rooms and public toilets in Market St.

No parking at EDAC Club Rooms – there are areas to park close by but please observe restrictions and be mindful of residents. 

Use of Headphones in Road Races – Under UK Athletics Rule 240 S5 the wearing of headphones is not permitted in races on single carriageway roads not wholly closed to traffic. The rule applies to in-ear or over-the-ear headphones (with the exception of those medically prescribed). Bone conducting headphones which sit on the cheek are permitted as they transfer sound through the cheekbone and do not block other sounds through the ear.

Water Station – Water will be available en route. Runners must use drop zone to avoid littering. (Bottled water at the finish)

Prizes – The 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female will be awarded at the finish. PODIUM at 11.30.  All other prizes will be notified by email once the results are ratified.

RELAY INSTRUCTIONS

First Leg Runner = A number – (not chipped). They also wear/carry the wristband supplied. Be on the start line for 10.25am.

Second Leg Runner = B number (chipped) Be at changeover point (at the Cricket Club on the Strangford Road) by 10.30am. It is only a short jog from the Club so a perfect warm up. Once wristband is exchanged Runner B completes the course to cross mat and record chip time.

Please respect other runners and stay off the course while waiting. Obey the marshals’ instructions at all times.

*Should COVID restrictions be reintroduced or if it is not possible to hold the race as planned for reasons beyond our control, all entries will automatically be transferred to the best alternative at that time (different venue or virtual event)
